Here's to you, dear people who spend so long at a place so few want to be. Here's to the people who taught us how to count, how to write, how to read. Here's to those who refused to give up on us. Here's to those who read us stories and sang songs with us. Here's to those who encouraged us to learn.
They are not paid much. Most districts shit all over these fine people. A teacher's salary is damn pitiful if they aren't a college professor. The students can be the worst of them all. They too deficate all over the ones helping them learn about life. Students forget that teachers have lives. They have families and friends just like they do. Parents blame the teacher if their special unique snowflake of special unique specialness isn't doing well in the class. If a teacher offers the idea that perhaps a child is not perfect, parent's lose their shit and defend their child to the death. Normally this is admirable. To teachers, it's unbearable. Students can help a teacher look forward to coming to work. A student can make a teacher's day just by smiling and listening for once in a while. A student should not treat a teacher with disrespect.
But teachers are human as well. They come in packs of good people along stacks of unlimited douchebaggery. No teacher is perfect, just like no human is perfect. But give them a chance. They deserve some form of respect, do they not? They do not deserve to be ignored, or willfully disobeyed. You do not have the right to text your BFF in the middle of a lecture just because you bought your phone with your own money. You do not have the right to backsass an adult just because you feel like it. You can be punished. And if Mommy and Daddy still manage to maintain what was left of their soul until you suck it out completely like a half-starved dementor, you will be punished.
Let us not forget to respect these people as we do a fellow human being. Let us be the ones to harp on those who treat them unfairly. Let us be the student a teacher looks forward to see. Let us be the reason they want to come to work in the morning. Let us be the reason why they love to do what they do. Let us be the teacher's pet once again.
Sorry for the long rant. I have always thought that teachers are people to be respected along with anyone else, yet they are treated like absolute dirt by a shit-ton of people. My mother is a teacher and her district is a vile corrupt thing that hardly supported her when she was attacked by her supervisors (not physically, but emotionally and mentally). Teachers are shat upon by a lot of school districts, students, and parents, and by God it is about damn time it came to a fucking halt. I am sick of how kids talk to their elders these days. They are disrespectful, willfully disobediant because dear old Mumsy and Popsikins refuse to believe that their child may be the Devil's incarnate. Jesus, these people are PEOPLE. Do you talk to your friends that way? Probably. But that does not make it okay. If I were a parent, I'd smack a kid who acted that way so he wouldn't do it again. Little shit would know better. So, that is my two cents for today.
Fanfictions will be updated today.

Poor teachers at Mears. They have to deal with middle school boys. And I'm not joking when I say that a boy said, and I quote, 'Fuck you' to a teacher. Go. Fuck. Your. Self. Damn boys.
And not to mention girls are pretty bad too. 'Eeeewwww! It's a frog!' Well, you're wearing gloves, and it's not like all the soap in the world is going to disintegrate! And Sally! Stop brushing your damn hair in the middle of class! Brush your hair in PASSING PERIOD. Not CLASS. Class is for learning.
